The main image of the band on the cover are slightly covering the masthead to show there importance. They are wearing black, to maybe make there faces stand out so that they are the first thing you notice about the magazine. The main colours in this magazine are Red, Black, white and yellow to make everything stand out on the black. There is strap line on the top and bottom of the magazine advertising other bands that are in the magazine to make you think that the magazine it way to good not to buy because there is so much in it. There is a '8 page poster special' to make you think it is even better and that you have to buy it so you don't miss anything (even tho they say that every week xD). The price is small, which means the publishers have put as much information on the cover to grab your attention and persuade you to buy there magazine before you notice the price. The typography is mainly in capitals, and the same font, apart from the masthead, which is more edited to suite the target audience. the images on the magazine are to draw your eyes to it, for example, the portrait of the main band in the magazine and also the images of the other bands featuring in the magazine also. most of the other stories in the magazine where boxed out in the same similar way, but was made individual by changing the colors and sizes of the typography. :)
Well Done Tilly. Some excellent commentary here. Think about keeping your comments brief and bullet pointed to improve the layout also always ensure that you you appropriate Media terminology.
